Political Philosophers of the World Part 1

There are many political philosophers that have made their names widely known around the world. These wise men have provided major contributions and developments to the area of politics. One of them is Confucius, who is an ancient Chinese philosopher and was one of the early thinkers who contributed to the field of political philosophy. The beliefs of Confucius ware strongly connected to the idea of personal ethics and morality because he believed that a ruler with moral values and who possesses the “virtue” deserves to execute power and authority.
Plato is a Greek philosopher who authored the book The Republic. In his work, he made arguments about the conventional political systems. He pointed out that these forms of government such as democracy, oligarchy and monarchy are corrupt and stressed that the people should be governed by a class of elite and educated philosophers.
