3.jpgAristotle was the author of the book Politics. Like Plato, he is a Greek philosopher He argued that by nature, man is a political animal. He also stressed out the strong link between ethics and politics. Aristotle also mentioned that in order to gain a truly ethical life, one must participate in politics.

Perhaps one of the most controversial political philosophers of the early times was Niccolo Machiavelli. He is the author of the book The Prince. Machiavelli is an Italian political theorist who raises the ideas of having an absolute ruler and the ways of attaining and maintaining absolute power.

Thomas Hobbes was responsible for the work, Leviathan. In this book, he created a model of the early development of humans as a means of justifying the roots of politics. He also raised the idea that every individual has an equal share of rights to every resources available. Hobbes also proposed the idea of social contract.
